“Hey everyone, Elon’s renamed Twitter to X. We should have a one-letter name, it would be so cool. Like, the kids would love it. Elon’s a visionary. We should definitely, definitely, definitely do what Elon’s done. When has he ever made a mistake in business? Exactly, never! Maybe I could have a bonus worth billions! So cool!”
“Ok, boss. Are you going to rename yourself C?”

So they’re bringing back Channel U?
Bruh!
In November 2023, it was announced that in Summer 2024 all of UKTV’s free-to-air channels and UKTV Play would be rebranded with the new name of “U”. While the free-to-air channels, Dave, Drama, Yesterday and W, will become “U&Dave”, “U&Drama”, “U&Yesterday”, and “U&W”. The planned launch date for this rebrand is 16th July. UKTV also said they plan to rebrand their pay channels to “U&GOLD”, “U&alibi”, and “U&eden” later this year.
Ah brilliant, the Marketing team have really put their heads together on this one.
They did it a bit too hard by the looks of it.
