Ive been wanting to upgrade from Plasma 5 to 6 for some time, but I don’t want to manually upgrade, risking breaking everything.

So, does anyone know when they will release Manjaro with KDE Plasma 6?

Your question is kind of confusing, KDE does not do anything specifically with Manjaro, I assume that Manjaro users have to wait for upstream (Arch BTW) to mark it as stable, so if you keep your eyes peeled for Arch releases of Plasma, I’m sure you’ll have an idea of a timeline.

Arch already shipped Plasma 6 for a while. Doesn’t translate directly to Manjaro though, due to their different way of handling updates.

Reason why I jumped ship. Manjaro is not Arch. If you want Arch with a GUI installer and nice defaults, go with Endeavour or Cachy.

          I went with endeavour.

Arch is already on 6.0.4. I’d say we’re five weeks into plasma 6. Manjaro is holding it back unusually long.

Tbf, Plasma 6.0.0 was not exactly bug free. Then again, Plasma 6.0.1 was the first release on Arch and for me, it didn’t break anything. Only some UI issues and occasional (although never fatal) crashes.
