Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve investigated the situation and it turns out that you weren’t on the agenda. Rest assured, we’ve updated our records and you should expect to receive your first official solicitation in 5 - 10 business days! Please accept my personal apology for this oversight and have a gay day.

and it turns out that you weren’t on the agenda

Finally! I’ve wondered for years what this “gay agenda” was that my conspiracy prone conservative neighbors were telling me was so dangerous.

Please accept my personal apology for this oversight and have a gay day.

Oh my, I feel my conversion starting already! I am having an instinctive desire to wish you a fabulous day, too.

I feel like this alone proves how wrong this comic is. This doesn’t need any sort of opinion, this can easily be proved with cold hard data.

they ( Conservatives ) should move to Muslim countries, I’m pretty sure their world view is going to shift the other way pretty quickly 😆

I recently saw an article about some Canadians who uprooted their family and moved to Russia because LGBTQ+ exist.

Apparently they didn’t like it when the government froze their assets as “suspicious,” and when they complained on social media were immediately were forced to take it down and apologize.

          Speak of intolerance !

these kind of people expect a system ( or a regime ) that oppresses a minority to cheer for them, because of what ? they have something in common !

They’ll soon realize ( or I hope they did ), that the : " enemy of my enemy is my friend" rule doesn’t apply here, because these regimes ( that oppresses and shuts down minorities and decent ), don’t have any regard to anything but their own agenda, their own views and values, and anything besides that is an enemy

The comic is trying to equate being noticeable with pushing an agenda while the person literally trying to push an agenda in the form of a book into other people’s hands is supposed to be the victim. It contradicts itself.

See, idk if that’s it. I almost want to say it’s about the means of communication. In this comic, they’re doing the same thing to one another, however one is drawn to be loud and aggressive while one isn’t.

They are most certainly not doing the same thing.

One is trying to push an agenda onto somebody else.

The other is pushing back, after years of oppression, on those whose agenda is the elimination or stigmatization of their existence.

If you don’t see the difference, you should take a long, hard look at how your opinions are formed.

If there is a “How to Become Gay” recruitment book out there, it’s likely a false flag piece written by a “Christian,” with the intent of being used as an anecdote to defend their own despicable behavior.

Well one has laws being put in place to prevent them from existing and the other has the protection of the constitution. Also have you never seen Christians protest? Maybe a planned parenthood or a soldier’s funeral? They get quite loud as well.

Reality is a team sport, to some people. Their stated ideals are ad-hoc justifications. All that has ever mattered to them is ingroup loyalty. They think that’s what you’re doing because they think that’s all there is.

I’ve worked retail for around 15 years. I literally cannot count the number of religious pamphlets I’ve found left all over the store(s) from the bathrooms to on the shelves to tucked inside products to being forced on me when I was working register.

In that same time I’ve never once found or been given any kind of lgbtq+ pamphlets or propaganda of any kind. Not once.

    edit: store to store(s)

The first part of the reply makes a really good point. The joke at the end basically makes it so they people will ignore the whole thing as a joke…

I can’t tell what this is (the comic, not the comments). On the surface it looks like a “the Right can’t meme” kind of post made to smear or otherwise disingenuously criticize gay and trans people. But then why would it be posted here? Or maybe that’s the thing— y’all do see it as that and you’re posting it due to the funny comments below the comic.

I’m not criticizing it, I’m just wondering if I’m missing something.

I assume the joke at the bottom is the reason it is here, with the comic as the context for the joke.

Yes, the comic is trying to frame the person on the right as ‘forcing’ when in reality the person on the right is responding to the legally enforced discrimination from the person on the left by protesting. So trying to equate the abuser and the victim ad the same thing.
