I just disable Pocket API in
about:config
and it dissapears from the interface.Wait, why? I use Pocket sometimes, and from the little research I’ve done on it, seems like it is a privacy respecting tool.
I think that many people are just annoyed at it for existing, me included
It’s still an addon that wasn’t explicitly installed by the user.
I like Pocket, but I prefer Wallabag. It’s much more private and has more configuration options. I personally use Read It Later (a GNOME client, written in Rust) to replace Pocket.
I use it too, having it natively supported by Kobo is great too.
It is fine privacy wise, people just don’t appreciate bloatware.
