field, above the sidebar), and we’ll pick that info up on our next update of join-lemmy
Be aware that lemmy.glasgow.social is a mostly bot instance too.
The big news here is that the instance list is automatically now, based on a crawl starting from lemmy.ml. So if your instance federates with lemmy.ml, or federates with an instance that federates with lemmy.ml (any distance), it will be included in the list automatically.
So no more editing HTML, just federate and wait for joinlemmy to be updated (we do that manually at irregular intervals).

I see that loading history of newly added federated communities is still broken?
Yes, you can still manually cache those posts by typing their URLs into the search box.
Doesn’t seem to federate comments though?
You can do the same for comments, or any new comments after that federation connection is made, will recursively grab all the parent comments and parent post.
