Yes, the article targets a very small subset of leftist, mostly those that would deny the wider left you mention is “really” left (or call them liberals etc). It is pretty spot on for these though.
As for your call of non-inventionism… that IMHO falls short of the real problem. With rare exceptions we are already in a non-interventionist world order, but that just pushes powerful governments of any political form to do shady backdoor deals with corrupt officials and dictators and all sorts of other covert or not so covert power projection through alternative means.
In many ways this is worse then direct interventionism as seen in the previous century.
That is interventionism. At least a form of it. By interventionism, I don’t mean outright war with American troops. I mean any intervention. It never benefits us.
