    If we’re being realistic, the amount of materials that comprise every sattelite we’ve ever launched is a drop in bucket compared to the priduction of literally any kind of terrestrial vehicle. Not to mention that the rockets take up orders of magnitude more resources than the satellites themselves (which is still comparatively small since there really haven’t been that many rockets compared to things like, you know, cars and planes). Overall this really just seems like a gimmick, not really relevant for sustainability. Funding could be better spent on developing renewable materials for things here on Earth, or of you want to keep it in space, on fighting space junk which actually a major problem with sattelite launches.
