I like it is different to the forks hosted in personal repositories and would point to it as the way to go if nothing replaced it. However, I don’t like that finish being hosted in GitHub.
Taken a movement like this, would be great if was done in a complete way also moving the project away of GitHub.

There is a fork promoted by a group dedicated to Free Software https://github.com/SartoxOnlyGNU/audacium
