    Ok…so, first of all…this article is spouting nothing but hyperbolic bullshit. No one’s private land ownership is being challenged, or infringed upon with this decision, whether in this specific case, or in any broader sense.

    The most that the Cowichan Tribe is asking for, is fair compensation for the land that was stolen from them, and recognition of their claim to the land that is still “publicly owned”. No one is “coming for privately owned land”.

      For the record, I completely disagree with the framing in the article. I think this is an excellent decision by the court and I hope that sets a precedent for more land reconciliation.
