When I was a child and the world cup 2002 came and went for Ireland, I just assumed that we’d always be good. Ever since Denmark hammered us in Dublin, it’s been pretty bleak.

There was a real bad ACL curse over the first few weeks of the season. What are the chances mings does his ACL three days after Buendia did his, in a game where the players wore shirts before the game wishing emi a speedy recovery.
I remember after the third week of the season a number of players whose team pre seasoned in the states on those pitches seemed to do their ACLs.
It’s really sad for me that if you put ireland in place of Moldova, i think they get 7 points from that group. Fair play to Moldova
I like him as a player but yesterday was a mixed bag and mostly bad, own goal, at fault for a goal and got an assist.
I was very very critical of solanke when he first went to Bournemouth. At the time i felt like he was almost being forced into the line up and it had a negative impact on Wilson.
But to be fair to the lad, he’s worked hard, he’s grew into his body a bit more, had two great years in the championship and this season he’s already equalled what he got last year. Fair play to the guy
About 10 seconds before this clip starts, under no pressure, varane chips the ball up and boots it straight up in to the air, putting the whole defence in trouble. I’ve never seen him do something like that before
Portugal should just call him up. We’ve seen before a few times that the only way to get Southgate to pick a player is for the player to get his agent to talk about the player playing for another country.

Kept on reading people who didn’t watch villa regularly saying how “villa got way worse after beale left and it was just gerrard” but we were dreadful in beales last 6 months. Then when Gerrard was sacked, he felt the need to say he didn’t want the job (he wasn’t offered it, or even contacted about it) in a really rude manner.
Since he has been in at rangers he’s post match interviews have been so unbelievably cocky, arrogant and slimy. I always felt GVB held himself really well and came across as a top bloke. Him and ange seemed to respect each other and get on well. Beale just came across so poorly

Flekkin doesn’t inspire me very much. He does a lot of strange things under no pressure that don’t get punished
