Flekkin doesn’t inspire me very much. He does a lot of strange things under no pressure that don’t get punished

So envious watching an actually organized defence with a world class midfielder protecting it.

Need to improve creativity wise. This Odegaard slump isn’t helping, but we are good at controlling games and good defensively. Also I beg our keeps become more confident

Think every Arsenal fan right now would love if our keepers were more confident but I honestly don’t blame them when they’ve got Arteta playing mind games with both of them

I can actually excuse this game. He’s coming back from a long injury, so it can’t be expected that after 1 game, and maybe 1 practice, he’s back to his usual standards. We need to give him a bit of time IMO.

I forgot to add, fucking well done Brentford. You guys were compact, organized and ready to spring a counter on us. Respect for the game plan and executing it well. Gotta give respect to them for making it a painful watch.

    Boys made it happen somehow.

This is the Arsenal that I’ve come to appreciate and watch the game until the end of the game. I don’t turn it off the game anymore…even that shitty 1-0 win against city.

Ghoddos worked his ass off for 90 minutes. Shame the slip-up led to a goal. Tough to play out of position against a great team

Didn’t manage to watch, where was he playing? Has he been covering RB since Henry is out?

I would take as much as “thrilling moments” as long as it doesn’t end up a goal lol.

Clean sheets all day every day, but Rambo thrilling moments today were a combo of rust, anxiety, nerves. Not saying he doesn’t have these moments but today was amplified by those factors.

He didnt have to make any saves? I reckon if Brentford got a serious opportunity theyd have scored. Ramsdale showed why Raya starts today

Arsenal’s season in a microcosm… relatively comfortable in defence and seemingly incapable of scoring… but they somehow manage a goal.

Rice was fantastic, and apart from his mistake (which he promptly made up for), I thought Zinchenko played very well today. Tough game, not a good performance, but a very good win. Happy for Kai.
