I’d be happy if we could just join the EEA. I want to be able to work in the EU.
Türkiye needs to get rid of its Erdoğan problem then.
This is even more rampant and unchecked on Reddit - the Buy Canadian subreddit is infested with either outright “MURRICA FUKKKIN A BRO” types or the more subtle “concern trolls” — “Won’t you miss this product? What will you do when you can’t afford things anymore? Don’t you realize these companies employ Canadians - why do you want to hurt your neighbours?” Yeah - not here for that noise.
I think Amazon’s entire labour model is one giant workplace safety violation to be honest. Cut them off a month ago and yes for certain items I have to search and wait but oh the money I have saved.
“I would also like access to vinyasa yoga, local kombucha, and a place that can do a killer oat milk matcha latte…and a pony…thank you” /s
Hahaha that isn’t northern Ontario and it’s an incredibly expensive area as it’s basically prime cottage country for wealthy Torontonians. If a small town has bougie options you know it is likely part of cottage country. You need to look further north if you want to save money and actually live in the north.
We’re taking Alaska. They’re going to love it. One way or another we’re getting it I can tell
We need a Canadian producer of soy curls
Opti-Rinse and Denta-Rinse from Manta Pharma based in Brossard QC or Oro-NAF which is from another Quebec dental company. Both are available online if you can’t find them in your local drugstores.
Being in this part of Ontario I love Rheo Thompson mint smoothies. When I first moved here I literally thought “mint smoothie” meant some sort of tacky mint drink mix then I finally found some on sale for charity at my local Pharmasave and was converted :)
Sprague is great and definitely Canadian! They also have lower sodium than many of the mainstream brands. I hope to see them carried in more stores.
Please do vote and let’s make sure that we keep Canada clean - the poo goes in the loo and so does the PP
Agreed! Starbucks is bad coffee, bad for local coffee shops, and doesn’t treat their employees well anymore - perhaps better than Tim Hortons but honestly that is a low bar.
In the Buy Canadian era we have to drop the Loblaws rule temporarily but I make sure they are my absolute last choice and that I only buy very specific things there. Luckily I can drive to a Metro, Sobeys, Giant Tiger - Sobeys is arguably as evil (Empire - own Sobeys, Farm Boy, Foodland, IGA etc) but they in my mind are slightly less evil - Metro a bit less, Giant Tiger despite their owner’s politics even less - and then those lucky enough to live near a co-op or a good selection of independent stores - ideal.
Oh and Walmart - I’d have to basically be starving.
