Dockerized programs are easy to install and easy to make system agnostic. It’s not always beneficial if you just have one system and you’ve already got a lot to learn about how to set it up, because it adds another layer of knowledge that you need to use it effectively. But if you’re comfortable with *nix and tech in general it’s nice to containerize stuff
why is nobody talking about a fake image? hmm
I thought so too, but it isn’t - it’s a server that hosts your pirated games and a client that downloads from the server and installs them. It’s like Steam or Epic games, but for pirated games.
dude why would you name it that
That’s only because our legislative branch is entirely ineffective.
Do you think a resturant refusing to serve black people would be okay?
You’re upset that the headline didn’t have data, details and specifics in it?..
If they vote in a way I don’t like, they’re a bot. If they don’t vote in a way that I like, also a bot. In fact, if they vote at all, probably a bot
Can’t the other instances see what you saw via federation? Or does a self hosted lemmy instance federate all comments from all threads once it knows about a server?
It’s ultimately because of capital. Capital controls resource allocation, so any project that requires resources will have to align with capital interests
Do the Evolution by Pearl Jam

Not even a fan of Pearl Jam, but the song’s discordant guitar solo is perfect for its message, and captured brilliantly by the animation. I’m a sucker for late state American animation well-executed like this, too.
Most of the boss fights in MGS3, but I liked The End most of all
Why would you see a headline about them paying out? The entire point is to pay so that nobody knows it happened.
What’s funny is that comment isn’t deleted for me (on https://kbin.social/m/[email protected]/t/9220/Why-are-communities-on-Lemmy-ml-more-full-compared-to-the#entry-comment-43401)
That doesn’t really make sense though - shouldn’t comments be federated across all communities?
Thanks. I thought nobody was even replying to my comments until I realized that notifications for replies to comments were off by default on kbin, lol.
I really, really hope the open internet takes off again
I’m using kbin and I don’t even really understand what Magazines are. Are they the equivalent of reddit subs / lemmy communities?
It’s funny because I agree with you - out of everything that collects my data I get the most out of YouTube, it often recommends things I like quite a bit and it’s the primary way I discover new music
