If the author likes to walk around in his/her house with shoes on I don’t give a shit, but if you are entering someone else’s home, you god damn respect their home rules, its called being a decent human being for God sake.
Logically the wisest option is to call the fire department and make them open the door since this is how an emergency sounds to me, but sadly the person in this situation is doubting to take the correct course of action because he can’t afford to lose the job. Capitalism has gone to fucking far.
Let me rephrase then, I think all necessary jobs are equally important regardless the field. I agree with you, there are thousands of useless jobs, like, Garbage collectors (we can do it ourselves), politicians, policeman, corporate parasites, to name a few.
Indeed.
And they do, that’s why resiging is becoming a viable option for workers, as far as I understand the US government gives you a financial support if you meet some criteria. And to be honest, if my country did the same thing I would rather have their financial support than being exploited for someone else’s profit, that way I can actually live my life and work on whatever I like at my own pace.
We do be living in a society
Oh what a world it would be If people were able to actually live.
Indeed, all jobs are equally important, regardless the field and skill needed.
It’s a disgusting mindset but it’s not entirely their fault considering their educational system.
Yet we live in a society with people who have similar power. Disgusting.
I think you make a valid point, I have seen people in the same situation, they legitimately don’t want to change their situation and it is true that if you give them money It will probably by used for nonsense but I think that homeless people or poor people in general dont necessarily want to be poor, it’s not like they wake up one day and say: “You know what’d be great, have no money and beg for food in the streets”, I think it’s a matter of luck, I for example was lucky enough to have a good education and make something out of it, but there are people who are born in the streets and of course they think there’s no way out of it, nobody taught them otherwise.
Yeah I agree, almost everybody knows that big tech companies are selling and using their data to make profits, but the majority of this people don’t care enough about it, just like smoking, they know smoking is bad they just don’t have the knowledge/courage/will or whatever to change their habits.
It does sounds nice at first glance but think about it, do you really want to live in a “Player One” movie, let alone allow huge companies to know everything about you, and I mean everything, I’m talking neurological information. We know very little of our physical world and we already want to scape to a virtual one because reality sucks?, I’m not buying it.
On a side note, I have a cousin who is really into VR, I can tell you, it’s not the cousin I knew, he changed and it’s depressing, he doesn’t want to interact with reality anymore, it’s crazy.
Look at the bright side, looks like you avoid a shity company.
Completely agree, we are indeed forced to choose between starving to death or work.
What the actual fuck, what a disgusting and invasive policy.
On a side note, I highly doubt they have that policy in a legal paper.
