Second generation antipsychotic medications are not only dopamine antagonists but also potent serotonin antagonists. Regulating serotonin uptake can help stabilize mood, both with depression and elevated states. So possibly more to do with their effects on serotonin receptors than dopamine receptors. (Not a doctor but nothing I said can’t be confirmed with a quick google scholar search)
Our family all does taekwondo after our kids got into it. The community we are involved with is very friendly, nonjudgmental and inclusive. The surrounding TKD clubs seem to have similar principles. It could be that people on the spectrum who join taekwondo tend to stick with it and other martial arts may have a higher dropout rate due to a more ableist and socially-hierarchical culture.

I’m absolutely in favour for building better social supports for new comers and people below the poverty line, but immigration is not the source of the problem. Suppressed wages are not going to change with increasing social supports or restrictions on immigration. Change will only come about with hard organized resistance against the minority who profit off the backs of the majority.
Just not enough to talk about. New coaching staff will provide changes but nothing we can see until the season starts. Players are the same as last year, minus the obvious. Plus it seems like lots of the teams around us are getting better while we are just kinda meandering so it’s not an exciting time until we have something to peek our interest.

I honestly think it’s a marquee example of some of the ways our North American culture has failed us. It’s a level coordinated infrastructure that we just can’t pull off despite so clearly being a net gain in quality of life for the average citizen.
