So you missed out on the series finale where it’s a 45-minute flashback to Bigfoot barebacking Scully?
Edit: I apologize for the weird boner I just gave someone.
I advocate for logical and consistent viewpoints on controversial topics. If you’re looking at my profile, I’ve probably made you mad by doing so.

Apple and Mac come to mind.
This is like 90% of my Lemmy experience.

Significantly less than 30% of Albertans want anything to do with this traitorous bullshit. Don’t lump us all in with the dickheads in charge. They’ll have a hell of a fight on their hands if they actually try and go through with this.
But Minnesota can come though, they’re cool.
Why don’t we just do a people swap?
Not at all. I updated my initial request to clarify.

Yup. Definitely misread. Deleted it now!

Hey now, you’ve got to use something to download Firefox on a brand new windows install.
Updating to a new version isn’t self-propagation though. Maybe if it randomly installed itself overtop of Linux or MacOS, they’d have a point.
It also doesn’t modify other computer programs and maliciously insert its own code into those programs or require a host program.
So I guess maybe it doesn’t have… Any features of a virus at all.
It just sucks.
It self-propagates? Well that’s new.
Oh wow, it’s odd that only those are showing. Admittedly I’ve been kind of lax about making the weekly threads, but there’s certainly a lot more than four in the last two years!
As someone who runs a discussion community, !actual_discussion@lemmy.ca
I get this every time I have to play devil’s advocate. People get SO DAMN MAD on here despite their poorly argued positions…
People barely know why they believe something, let alone why someone else should believe the same.

Holy shit, dying in a car fire… That is a rough way to go man.
“You have been banned from lemmy.ml”
Reading it now, but that seems to be a very cool breakdown (though I had to go for the simplified version due to time). It had a few systems I haven’t looked into yet.
Looks like STAR is pretty damn solid in every regard!
Well, somewhat. I left it open to interpretation on purpose so the reader could define that in their response.
If I were to personally state my interpretation, I’d mean something like a system least open to abuses (gerrymandering, cronyism, bribery, etc.), being open and honest, while also being representative of the people using it.
So… I’ve been meaning to have an actual conversation with someone about this, but isn’t this kind of the way everybody here feels about the right wing?
Like… Aren’t they also kind of stupid, kind of weak, and kind of incredibly dangerous?
Something I’ve always requested when anybody asked what I wanted for a gift, (and only got once from somebody who went on to be my wife) was a hand-written letter.
As somebody who buys the things I require whenever I require them, it’s something so much more personal than damn near anything else.
Edit: I gave her a box of secrets. Basically I wrote a bunch of lines or paragraphs on pieces of paper that I don’t like to talk about or have trouble expressing. The only caveat was that she could only read one per day and only when she’s not having a great day.

Buying on a credit card doesn’t incur interest fees until a month after the purchase so you can pay it off right away.
This is guaranteed to incur fees right out of the gate and cannot be paid back faster than they want.
Well funny that you should ask…
