    While I really want daylight savings gone, I’m taking advantage of the 1 hour jump to try and fix my sleep schedule.

    It’s a bigger problem in the spring when it goes the other way…

      I’m a big fan of standard time myself, the light in the morning helps me wake up. I usually don’t have a problem with the fall shift, but I’ve found myself slowly drifting my sleep back to saving time. I think it the near record highs in my area the past couple days. As a pedantic note, its saving time, no s, yes its really awkward to use.

      I’m at the age where my body can no longer adapt to changes in routine quickly. It’s been 5 days and I still wake up an hour “earlier” than I’m supposed to.

    I saw a kestrel dart from the skies and snatch something- a lizard perhaps? - just about ten metres right next to me ot the lawn. I’ve never seen such a thing before in my life. I think it was the highlight of my day

        They are very common here in Australia, at least in NSW (the eastern side). I’ve never seen one in action before though, it was really cool
