@[email protected] have you ever thought about making the app open source? I’ve used Connect for a little bit and I really like it, it would be really cool if the app was open source. You practically don’t have anything to loose, as you don’t sell the app or insert ads and trackers. Lemmy is an open-source plattform, and many (if not most) other apps are also open source, I think Connect should follow that direction. This would also allow you to publish the app on F-Droid.

Oh yeah, that’s not what I meant. I just mean I feel like the developer has abandoned it. I don’t know if they’re even looking at this community anymore.

Great! Good to know that you’re still around. The app has been very good and I hope the major bugs will eventually get fixed.

That was almost two months ago and they haven’t posted anything on Lemmy since that. I hope they haven’t forgotten about Lemmy altogether. Would be nice to have at least the major bugs fixed. Or let people know whether this project is abandoned or not.

          Oh, that would be unfortunate.

I don’t know if they’re even looking at this community anymore.

I hope they do and I hope they see this post, because if the app is abandoned and gets open sourced, a new maintainer could take over and continue development and maintenance of Connect.
