    The EU Ambassador to the Philippines Luc Véron said described the “repetition and intensification” of incidents such as Sunday’s collisions as “dangerous and very disturbing”.

    Canada’s embassy in the Philippines called China’s actions “unjustified” and said that “Continuing acts of intimidation and coercion undermine safety, stability, and security across the region, and increase the risk of miscalculation”.

    I know they have to say these things, but I always wonder if they really think the other side is going to reply with: “Awe, shit, you’re right. My bad!” Like, other than posturing, what’s the point anymore?
