After days of frustration, checking every character ibn every config file I give up on the email issue for u.fail.. :sad_cat: Yesterday I got a domain for a (replacing) Lemmy instance! I think something with the initial setup went wrong on u.fail and I can't seem to fix it :sad_cat: The new instance that is fully working is running on https://Geddit.social So i'm gonna close U.Fail soon since it was really a fail :blob_derpy: I hope you undedrstand.. I really tried

Hey all!

This Lemmy instance has been a pain from the start with issues with sending email from the server itself. After 3 days of digging in code, checking configs and testing I give up.

Yesterday I ran a test on a ‘clean’ domain and a brand new server with the exact same config files we use on u.fail and it all worked right away…

So… I’ve got a new domain ‘Geddit.social’ and setup a brand new Lemmy instance with all features right out of the box!

If you are on u.fail please be aware this instance will close down soon.

I’m sorry, I really tried fixing the issue

    Damn, I can feel the frustration from here. Sorry to hear that. I’ll sign up to geddit.social.
