I agree that you shouldn’t go pirating small indie titles because independent artists becoming more financially successful is the object of the exercise. But a triple-A title is free game to me.
The only games I’ve ever pirated are the ones that have denuvo DRM ironically, lol.
Games are cheap to buy if they are good and worthwhile.
It’s when the studios try and bait and switch us that I have a problem, or purposefully slow down and punish paying customers because they are disabled by the fear of a few pirates by adding worthless DRM.
I am certain there is not a single Denuvo game that the DRM actually caused them to make more money than simply launching without it…
People in the industry are being taken for a ride…
Please do discontinue paying for AAA games. They are not only riddled with dark patterns antagonistic to their end users, but are made on the abuse and crunch of development teams overworked and underpaid.
We can only hope the AAA industry perishes and is suceeded by indie games or even FOSS game efforts.
If you must play them, pirate them with all the rant and roar you can, but better still, find better (if lower budgeted games) on the indie market. There are some pretty amazing titles that will scratch all your itches.
Debatable. The Switch is lagging behind in terms of graphics, but the Switch 2 is coming out next year, and Nintendo games are always high-quality and for the most part bug-free. DLC isn’t a requirement to enjoy the whole game.
The rest of the AAA gaming industry, on the other hand…

“BuT THe DEVeLoplErs WoN"t GEt PaID” They weren’t getting paid before, it just steals from the billionaire CEO

A triple-A game is only available and free to you because people like me pay for it.
If everyone acted like you, the AAA game industry wouldn’t exist.
I’m not trying to be disparaging, but no pirate should be proud of their theft.
Yeah and I want that to happen quite frankly. The triple a scene needs a major disruption.
That said I don’t trust a privileged executable from the high seas.

But then why pirate the game?
With the way they treat their workers? Good. I’m not talking about the quality of their work, I’m talking about the treatment of their labor.
I hope the AAA gaming industry collapses

It really shouldn’t. Everything in it outside of Nintendo is a hot steaming pile of dogshit.
Nintendo is also a pile of shit, the fuk you talking about.

lol
Beause some people really need their Star Wars or Harry Potter or whatever.
I was a Star Wars fan, but it all went downhill as Lucasarts died.
Good…I hope they fail and close up shop. Time for the I dustry to reset
