For CPSC, the weekly department newsletter is pretty great with providing up to date/new research opportunities in computer science. I’m not sure if the newsletter goes out to only CPSC majors or any students enrolled in CPSC.

Hi, not from UBC, but you can usually try asking the profs from any of the courses you’re taking in the area you want to go into and they’ll probably give you some good advice
