Can’t wait to watch this season with a friend of mine. We’re both lifelong Star Trek fans, although he is … well, he only likes TOS. He grew up with it in the 70s and he doesn’t like the “new” shows. “New” being any Star Trek produced after 1969.
Then I showed him Strange New Worlds and he loved it. We both agree that it’s like TOS - standalone episodes which are fun and occasionally use a sledgehammer to drive down a moral message - just with a bigger budget.
Yeah I had been hoping for years to see what TOS would look like if it were made today with modern production techniques, and SNW was basically that. Love the show. Everything looks fantastic!

Between the Klingons and the number of pictures that feature Nurse Chapel, I believe this press release was specifically targeted at me.
I’m so glad we’ve all decided to drop the “new Klingons” from Discovery season 1.
