    Imagine how EVs would have taken off if it wasn’t politicized and was actually discussed as an economic choice, rather than a moral one.

      Would it? For the early adopters EVs were often worse or way more expensive.

      Anyway we are probably close to peak combustion engine right now. EVs are cheap enough to compete and will overtake combustion engine cars as oil prices become less and less predictable.

        The evs from the last 5 years have been superior in almost every way for the vast majority of people, even if the sticker price was a bit higher. Total cost of ownership has been lower for a long time

    Only in Germany? I expect people not being able to afford gasoline will make this pretty universal worldwide.

    It’s not like the majority of employers are going to be understanding. They will expect you to be at work, how you get there isn’t their problem.
