Good news: that premise doesn’t exist, you can install it on used shit as well. if you think this thing is a good idea, that’d be as if linux can run only on a couple of the most recent thinkpads and nothing else. No it’s more like if 90% of PCs came with a locked bios. gOS is the easiest to get onto hardware and that’s why this thing dominates the youtube slop sphere. No there are numerous reasons why GOS is superior for most people. Mostly a combination of privacy, security, and ease of use. Also rapid updates.
