People kill people, but guns kill people really fast. America, how many of these events, how many dead bodies do you need to figure it out?

Fine, have your right to bear arms, but you really should combine it with proper waiting periods, records and medical checks, training. Show gory images of gun violence victims to prospective buyers if need be. Your right to vote as well as other rights and liberties do already come with restrictions and processes. For something that puts and others’ lives at stake, there is room for common sense measures. Show people that firearms are not something to toy around with or show off.

      NBC now reporting that:

Suspected Allen, Texas mall shooter Mauricio Garcia interacted with neo-Nazi and white supremacist content online, according to two senior law enforcement officials. According to one of the officials, 33-year-old Garcia posted such content himself. The other official said the suspect consumed such rhetoric online, had several social media accounts, and said that authorities found him with a patch with a right-wing acronym (“Right Wing Death Squads”) on his chest.

Between the 5 people murdered by their neighbor, the 8 who died at the mall, and the 7 Venezuelans who were rammed and killed by another Texan; it seems Texas, to use the former guy’s language, is a shithole state.

it comes to mind that in the past decade, Texas has seen its gun deaths rise from less than 3,000 a year to over 4,600. not surprisingly: gun law in the state has gotten more lenient across that span
