I know it isnt exclusive to Connect, i noticed it too on other social media apps like facebook (don’t judge me xd), and its the same effect: app start to slow scroll when reaching old posts from months ago or even years ago. Could extra ram help circumvent this ? my phone has 4gb ram, i am planning on upgrading for a phone that uses 8gb of ram+8gb of swap, would that help in this case ? thanks.
I noticed this too. I tweaked some settings and it seemed to resolve itself.
I don’t remember which settings I changed, but the pre-downloading images one seemed suspicious to me

can u please point out exactly whats wrong about Connect, code wise ofc, instead of throwing false accusations.
tho I don’t have performance issues, it’s true that I can see sometimes stutters and really small lags - but this is all because of Flutter, on which Connect is based.
as a Flutter app, this runs extremely well IMO
fair enough. i am not totally complaining but i thought if i could improve the hardware side so i could enjoy a better experience. i tried to run the app on waydroid in linux (and apparently i had to install houdini so it could translate arm to x86 ? but didnt get to get it to fully launch) so i could trust ur opinion since u seem knowledgeable in this regard
I’m running Connect on a Galaxy Fold 4, which… is a fairly decent hardware. It runs smoothly, but some animation is still choppy or scrolling can be sometimes choppy.
also, I’m developing a flutter app, it’s a frontend for online gallery, and scrolling through the thumbnails is already choppy in it. pretty sure one can take extra measures to reduce the choppyness, but by default it is how it is. having a flutter app that runs 60FPS is something that flutter devs are proud of, which is a bit funny IMO.
tech could also have its limitations, i guess
