Pretty clear he’s using pardons to build loyalty in people who hold or have held power.
If they were convicted of bribery then he knows they will make deals with him for bribes.

Have you ever seen man on the street interviews with the average Democratic voter? Most are as ignorant or nearly as ignorant of what’s going on in the world as the MAGA crowd. Get rid of MAGA and the Republicans will just recruit more. What we really need is education and the common belief that basic knowledge of politics is a civic duty.

The lemmings calling for mass murder of voters, and upvoting those who do, are a far nearer and greater threat than I think most people here realize. I’m seeing more of them every day.
It should go without saying but letting bloodthirsty extremists mouth off in progressive communities is a great way to not only discredit the rest, but also to draw the wrong kind of attention.
All the calls for mass murder I’ve reported so far are still live on every public instance, and have amassed even more upvotes/visibility since I reported them. It’s a problem.

I do agree with you. However, I’m also afraid a lot of liberals are still stuck in a loop decrying incivility and will still be doing so in the busses on the way to the death camps. The left would be foolish to not be preparing for violence, considering how ineffective the liberals are proving to be. That doesn’t excuse advocating for mass slaughter but, to some extent, it should be expected.
You’re not alone there, and I think that message is spreading fast.
I get the sense that many are spoiling for a fight because they haven’t yet found local action groups to be the outlet for that energy. So it manifests in our online forums as this sort of barely contained, murderous rage.
If so, we likely need more recruiting outreach to bring rogue would-be activists into the fold, because stochastic terrorism can only hurt the revolution, since it’s a weapon only fascists use.
If not, this uptick in extremism could also be seeded maliciously as pretext for things like server raids and watchlists, or otherwise just to poison the well. We’ve already had our first lemming bomber in the news just last week.
It’s true violence may become necessary by the end, but random uncoordinated acts of violence performed in the name of a movement are as dangerous as a gun that fires before the trigger is pulled.
