Tom G. Warrior’s band after Celtic Frost. Opening up their second album with a thrash track infused with death and doom metal. A lot of people say this style is in the same vein of CF’s last album Monotheist - crushing and ominous, with somber moments.

First bit of vocals on the record, who might have guessed: Uh! A true TGW classic, if not a running joke. I didn’t even know there was a Celtic Frost successor - and I am -behold, innocent, unknowing children of this new, flimsy and worthless millenium!- owner of an original first edition Hellhammer vinyl. Cover looks a lot like H.R. Giger’s Bio-Mechanical Landscapes in the old Celtic Frost tradition. Great tip, I am off to let my neighbours know I’ve got a new favourite record for them to hate. Guess they’re getting tired of “Painkiller”, anyway…

This is a fantastic comment, I wish we were neighbors 🤣

Edit: seems this album cover IS in fact a Giger piece, titled Mordor VII

How have I missed this? Instant buy Holy hit. Really fills the void of not enough bands like High on Fire.
