Well maybe if their shitty algorithm didn’t only play the same 8 or 10 songs over and over people wouldn’t be getting tired of them

It’s because the songs are cached on your device, and cached songs = less network traffic for Spotify = less costs = more money.

Maybe it doesn’t take into account your actual cached songs, it’s just tuning the algo thia way results in reduces traffic.

It could also be that they royalties on these songs are lower so they play them more often. Didn’t they get caught pushing AI generated music since it’s free for them to provide?

Thos only happens to me when Spotify loses internet access, which is exceedingly rare.

Nah even if you clear the catch regularly it still doesn’t help much. There’s songs in my playlist I don’t think I’ve ever heard.

Why can’t I just dislike songs, so I never have to hear them again? Like the good old days

I don’t like the insinuation that I’m that old, it’s correct, but I still don’t like it

Yeah, damn. If only there were a big fucking X right next to the save button that tells the service not to play the song again. lol

Not to play that song again, when listening to that specific playlist . Please make sure to check sources before trying to throw shade in the future

You’re joking, right? I wasn’t listening to a playlist. Try reading next time because it clearly says what i was listening to at the top.

Yes, recommended tracks, which is an auto curated playlist generated by Spotify. Let me try and see what happens. Why gee golly mister, it seems to say the song is hidden in that list. Maybe that guy on the internet was just an idiot who didn’t know what he was talking about.

Another one of those alienating moments for me.

One: I don’t use spotify. Renting music is kind of a bad deal, IMO.

Two: I don’t shuffle music. I usually pick an album and play it.
