The commander of the base wrote, “I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the US administration discussed by Vice-President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base.” in an email and was thus dismissed. In dismissing her, the Pentagon stated this reason. “Actions [that] undermine the chain of command or to subvert President [Donald] Trump’s agenda will not be tolerated at the Department of Defense.”

can’t Greenland ask to evacuate that American base? its clear the US won’t try to help Greenland without having them paying a hefty price anyway

Ideally, yes, but I’m not sure what type of agreement they have in place. It can give US a reason to invade. Trump is probably looking for a reason to justify invasion.

He might create one actually anyway, Like WMDs in Iraq or Putin version, nazis in Ukraine or NATO expansion in Ukraine.

One of the main real reasons Crimea in Ukraine was invaded was due to access to Sevastopol port.

Greenland is part of Denmark and Denmark is part of NATO. If Trump invades Greenland that would be next level stupid

Yeah, but if Denmark just allows the base to stay open as it is, they risk a Crimea scenario where Russia basically opened the gates of their Sevastopol base and took over the whole Peninsula before anyone could do anything about it.

Denmark is as we speak working on getting American bases on Danish soil, sorry to say. So no, that base is not going anywhere.

Have you heard of native Americans? Greenlandians might be about to become them.

The base is US soil. These things are far more complicated than you think, and more than I can type this early in the morning. But they’re basically heavily armed embassies.
