    Anecdotally: The ban has been very effective at affecting my popper use. I have had very significant negative health consequences from poppers, including addiction and temporary but persistent vision impairment. It has become harder over time to import poppers (which, amusingly, are often made in Canada for some reason, exported legally, and then sold back to Canadians from European websites) and I would probably go back to using poppers at some point if they became easily available.

      There is very little risk of dependency when it comes to poppers use because they have no psychoactive effect.

      This is just not true. Poppers have been found to produce an opiod-like effect. This is the euphoria experienced, that was previously explained unconvincingly as an inrush of oxygen due to sudden dilation of blood vessels in the brain.
