My Reuters alert said he’s doing the same for Canada, but who even knows at this point. The president certainly doesn’t seem to know.

Last I heard Canada is leaving the tarrifs in place on their end, and shitloads of people are just straight up boycotting American shit.

I’m American. I think that’s a great idea. Refuse to be held hostage by the geopolitical equivalent of a cat chasing a laser pointer.

He doesn’t even remember signing the USMCA and unknowingly insulted himself for signing it.

Brings me back to the days of the “Trump criticizes Trump” subreddit. I remember when the subreddit closed up shop when he got banned from Twitter in 2021. I naively thought it was a new dawn for the country. Wishful thinking.

Oh look, the economy is at the whim of a single person.

Looks and smells and acts like a king.

Welcome to the kingdom of Donald

Because Justin called Trump out. If it was really about drugs, he would have lifted for Canada and kept on Mexico. 90% of Fentantyl comes from Mexico.

It’s also because the country directly between Russia and the US is Canada. I think people consider it less because maps are flat and ignore the poles. They’ll be targeted first for invasion after their economy is crippled by tariffs. I wouldn’t be surprised if both the US and Russia attack. Vlad wouldn’t want all that juicy territory just going to the US. This is all a colonialist land and resources grab driven by climate change, again not fully being anticipated by your average person.

There isn’t infrastructure on the Russian/North side, almost no people there. The people and valuable stuff is all within 100 km of the US border.

Even if all the ice melts (when there are going to be real problems) Russia doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity to launch an amphibious attack against Canada.

Taking into account how their invasion of Ukraine, with massive land borders, was botched, there is no chance they ll succeed.

My US company lost all of our Canadian business overnight because of the tariffs on American goods. The only thing this tool is doing is hurting Americans, which… like all republicans… is exactly his plan.
