Anyone else?
No, I use mine on winding country roads at night and flick them off when a car is coming in the opposite direction or is in front of me.
No? High beams aren’t there just for blinding oncoming traffic. Driving an unlit road without them can be dangerous.
I’ll use them if there aren’t any street lights and there aren’t any other cars, that’s it though.
Nope for me. I love my high beams.
My truck has a super accurate high beam dimmer. I honestly think it’s run by magic, it can detect another vehicle super far away, but reflections and other things don’t trigger it. Super handy when driving city and rural.
Yes.
I am one of those assholes who has ludicrous and probably illegal LED retrofit modules installed. Hi. How y’all doin’?
…I only have them installed in the high beam sockets. My low beams are correctly aimed, leveled, and have the appropriate cutoff. I only use my high beams to lightly singe the people coming the other way who are pathologically driving around with their brights on 100% of the time and refuse to turn them off.
Fun fact! I have confronted people about this at stoplights, now and again, e.g. if I am on my motorcycle and have the ability to pull up to their window. The majority of people doing this did not realize their high beams were on and have no clue. Once you know that it puts so much into perspective. These idiots aren’t looking at anything on their dashboard… Not least of which being the speedometer, but also any other warning lights or status indicators. One guy I encountered was even driving around with his parking brake partially engaged, until I pointed it out to him.
Doesn’t that just fill you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
It actually does make me happy knowing you do this
This is why I use my auto high beams, so I can’t forget.
Exactly true for me
What kind of headlights do you have? Halogen, HID, or fucking LEDs?
