Well, here we are. My first little scheduled bot post. If this works, I’ll be able to drip content on a regular basis, hopefully freeing me up to spend more time on longer-form articles and such.

Mucha of course was a Czech painter, illustrator, and graphic artist. Living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, he was widely known for his distinctly stylized and decorative theatrical posters, particularly those of Sarah Bernhardt.] He produced illustrations, advertisements, decorative panels, as well as designs, which became among the best-known images of the period. Part of the reason I’m touching on this piece is because I recently read the collected Médée series by Blandine Le Callet and Nancy Peña, and found it a good read, worth sharing some pages from in future.

Mucha & the art nouveau really needs to be better known IMO.

Fun detail, Mucha made the circle around her head in the poster for artistic effect (it started with the same woman, with the play Gismonda), to draw the attention, not to the name of the play but to the womans face. It was such a success that he did it on all posters he did after that. Or so I recall…

PS. HMU if you want my small cards collection for your robot :-) If you’re interested I’ll try to scan the backsides.

Thanks for adding on, mate; very interesting about the halo thing. Yeah, I’ll have to do a proper Mucha post one of these days…

      Thanks for the offer!
Yeah, it would be fun to see more of that series, especially the backsides. TBH though, I kind of have my hands full at the moment, so for the time-being I’d suggest you try the scheduling tool out yourself: https://schedule.lemmings.world/post/list

You do have to provide an acct’s ID and PW so the scheduler can log in and post, so I’d recommend using a non-essential account. Then, when you schedule a post, you’ll upload the image in to the tool, and later, it will upload it to this instance. And btw-- image uploads (max: 500k) are working here, again. :D

Let me know if you have any Q’s, yeah?
