    I don’t understand why the Israeli government (and apologists overseas) are trying so hard to make the actions of the IDF in Gaza (and soon the repeat in the West Bank) synonymous with Judaism.

    It seems extremely short sighted, and likely to have pretty negative consequences for the diaspora.

    Higgins is the president of Ireland. Why is the former Israeli ambassador publicly making ridiculous demands of him? But the ambassador is far from the worst of the Israeli politicians making public statements which sound terrible to an international audience for no good reason. Is there a voting bloc of fanatics who deliberately want to offend other countries that is being pandered to?
