Premier Eby thinks we need Facebook. He has it exactly backwards.
There’s absolutely nothing Facebook offers us that we can’t get elsewhere - think: Web for info, fed from RSS right in the Services BC app, WITH notifications based on geolocation - and with a lot more credibility and reliability than Facebook.
That Geolocation better not rely on GPS only. GPS is a battery pig so many people keep it off unless needed. Cell towers are good enough
Premier Eby is following Trudeau in taking a good opportunity of throwing shade at Facebook. Talking shit costs nothing and it’s a small nudge to put Canada in a better negotiation position for a deal
