In ‘Marvel Studios’ Assembled: The Making of Agatha All Along, ‘Aubrey Plaza talked about playing Death, explaining that she enjoyed the character’s complexity and contradictions.
She appreciated being able to play three different versions of the same character, which she felt could work well in the MCU due to her otherworldly and yet grounded nature.
…
Christ, I was about to be rather upset about Aubrey Plaza being dead.
That title reads as though Aubrey Plaza died.
Capital D makes it a name. If she died it would be lower case.
I think that’s called method acting, she’s very serious about this role lol
I feel a tingling. Plaza and Reynolds in the next Deadpool. Those two personalities would make for some great chemistry.
If you don’t know, Deadpool is in a relationship with Lady Death. He meets her when he gets close to death and they fall in love over time. Thanos is mad jelly, so he curses Deadpool to be immortal so he and Lady Death can never be together.
They could have Agatha or someone else curse Deadpool because they hate Lady Death, making the story more female driven than in the comics. Montage of Deadpool killing himself over and over in a comical fashion while trying to date Lady Death.
Will Disney be cool and allow that much crossover? Find out on the next
Dragonball ZDeadpool. They need to be very careful though about not ruining the goodwill they now have thanks to Agatha and Rio’s relationship.
They will probably just the tip it with a few cameos in the next one and see if they can go to the hilt on the one after that.
It feels like they’ve already made Deadpool immortal and he already did the trying to die to be with the one he loves thing.
But I’d be surprised if we don’t see an alt-Thanos who is obsessed with Death now.
Deadpool is quasi immortal so far. The curse takes it to full immortality where he can never die.
The difference is not aging instead of aging very slowly and he can be nearly obliterated and still come back from nothing but a single cell, so a vial of his blood kept safe would allow him to regenerate compared to needing a chunk intact, ideally brain matter.
They could bring Thanos back in the Deadpool Universe because it isn’t stated that Thanos was killed in that Universe.
If the right story is there, I can see it.
I don’t think it would work to try and shoehorn her into the next Avengers movie, but if a script calls for her, I think she’ll be great in that kind of context.
