At the risk of his own life, a young man sets foot in the ruins of a devastated old world. His name is Akira, and in order to claw his way out of the hellhole that is his birthplace of Slumtown, the boy became a hunter. In the wastelands he happens upon a strange woman, standing perfectly still, stark naked.
She is beautiful, but it seems that only he can see her. She exists incorporeal, tantalizingly beyond any touch, and she tells him her name is Alpha.

Who knew that child soldiers could have mental trauma? I am kind of surprised that Drancam doesn’t have any kind of support for these things since they are big enough that this has to have happened before.
Also, is Katsuya really just hallucinating his dead teammate, or is he starting to be able to see the old world tech? I suspect he might be able to see his AI companion eventually.

Since Katsuya has shown a strong desire to save everyone that he knows (even at the cost of his own life) we also know that his rationality is skewed towards a heroism mentality. As such I’m not surprised that he’d experience PTSD symptoms such as halucinations as he’s emotionally tied to people he’s made relation with similar to Gon from Hunter x Hunter.

I could be wrong about all of this though
