They were probably spread it on right wing sites to reinforce to those voters they shouldn’t vote for the Dems, just in case they were thinking ‘maybe I shouldn’t vote for the asshole that acts like a toddler and fucked up a pandemic response when there was a good plan?’ Nope next vp has abuse claims so you can’t vote for them, and they are all happy with being angry anyways so it’s a win.

Ugh I hate how much it seems plausible, it’s like a badly written movie plot that no one would think could happen if it was the 90s, even early 00s.

Nah, I think it would make more sense to spread rumors in left wing spaces. Worked on Al Franken.

Those of us on the left have a serious problem with instantly excommunicating anyone accused of sexual misconduct. We don’t wait for all the facts to come out, we instantly disavow them.

And then, in the worst case, we start attacking anyone who calls for having a level head.

Mostly I don’t disagree with this assessment, but by now we’re talking about the boy who cried wolf. Republicans have been very outspoken with their “groomer” talk so many provably false times, meanwhile Trump and his cronies have committed a number of sex crimes and/or shown a lack of remorse for the victims thereof that it’s hard for them to come off as credible with this stuff anymore. I do miss Al Franken, though.
