    So… It wouldn’t work this way, right? The sun moving in the sky is the earth rotating, so the “proper” way to have done this would be to rotate the earth, which would have an immediately noticeable effect, no delay.

    If the sun itself was moved so that it would appear in the same spot as it was 10 minutes ago, that would have pretty big consequences on the orbits of the solar system, right? I don’t think things would be back to normal after a few minutes.
