Because protecting picture frames is more important than protecting the environment?

Protecting the environment? How exactly is damaging art helping the course in ANY way? Its literally driving people away from the course because no sane person wants to be associated with them.

It’s a great way to stop the media from just ignoring the problem like they are paid to. The politicians are being bribed to bin our strongly worded letters and protest signs, this is just the next step.

            Stop being a mouthpiece.

No art was damaged, they got two years of prison and you said “good”.

Sounds like the actual issue is the people hating on them. It’s also quite clear that a big part of the population hates whatever the media tells them to and most media is in the oil barons pockets.

They damaged the frame, wich is indeed art of itself.

And as said, such people derail the train towards achieving a goal.

Its good that they got what they deserved.

And no, the issue is that they did what they did and not that people hate on people doing what can be considered terrorism in a loose way, in my opinion they are just criminals that got paid by the oil lobby to derail the course of interest in climate change.

Throwing soup and damaging a picture frame = terrorism

Destroying our ecosystem = business as usual

Peaceful protests aren’t working. I’d love to hear an actual solution, instead its oil industry talking points and cheering for two year jail sentences of a protest with barely any damage and zero violence.

A picture frame doesn’t warrant the jail sentence, they knew it was behind glass and no damage could be done. It is mostly theatre.

This is the oil execs and their buddies setting an example. They are setting a tone as they keep doing the worst possible thing and keep ignoring what the population wants or desperately needs. Nothing is good about this.
