You can still use the following excuses:

-I accidentally left my phone connected to my Bluetooth headphones so I couldn’t hear my alarm.

-My charging cord became unplugged without me noticing so my phone was dead when I woke up

-Time is an illusion and is but one factor of our place in the universe. From a different perspective, who’s to say YOU aren’t the one who’s late?

I accidentally left my phone connected to my Bluetooth headphones so I couldn’t hear my alarm.

I got an android and all alarms play through the phone’s built-in speakers even if it has headphones plugged in or is connected to Bluetooth speakers

Title is interesting because alarms on a phone are orders of magnitude more complex than an alarm clock.

Sure, but I never have it malfunction like traditional alarm clocks would. It is only ever user error that causes an alarm to make me late now.

    5:45 am

That’s when our rooster decides everyone needs to be awake. Doesn’t matter that the sun isn’t awake, doesn’t matter if he’s too comfortable to even get off his perch, he’s going to crow for a half hour.
