Wow, people taking advantage of discrimination-based government programs… who could have possibly seen this coming?
minus-squarewise_pancakelinkfedilinkarrow-up12·27 days agoKinda tired of us relying on the honour system. Nobody bothers checking and people like me who are honest end up paying directly for the awful people scamming the government. They need to attach fraud charges to abuse of these programs.

Even if you know you’ve got an 80% chance of not getting cost or the program won’t be audited, a 20% chance of jail time and indictment might be enough to dissuade a lot of actors, which ultimately makes it cheaper to police.
