NEW: Lunchables could be poisoning kids with dangerous levels of lead, phthalates, and sodium.
But they’re still getting served in schools across the country, making Kraft rich.
Because Kraft has spent $5 million lobbying the USDA to get lunchables in schools.
Lunchables don’t get served inside schools, school lunches are made (poorly) by cooks, they may be getting sent to school by parents but the only thing pre packaged at school are milk and fruit cups. This could be solved in a hurry with universal free lunch.
As absurd as it may seem, Lunchables do get served by school lunch programs.

universal free lunch
I agree, universal free lunch would help many children!
I haven’t seen it in person, but one of my kids lunch options is a “turkey and cheese bento box” that sounds suspiciously like a lunch able. My state has universal free lunch (and breakfast! Which is equally as vapid, nutritionally)
When I was a kid, I thought those things tasted fake and nasty.
I only ever saw them on tv and thought they made that shit up for tv. I didn’t even thought that there was a chance that it’s a real thjng.
Same, and the pizza ones always grossed me out too. Who wants a cold, uncooked pizza? Whenever I got em, I just crushed the Capri sun n maybe the crackers or whatever that came with it.
They’re also expensive and shitty. There’s barely anything there.
$5 million? Politicians go for cheap these days.
They say lobbying is the best investment dollar for dollar you can make as a business. The bribes flow like wine.
Oh come on! Saying they are making Kraft rich is just too far. Kraft is already rich.
You’re missing the point.
You’re missing my sarcasm against corporations that need to be dismantled.
