There hasn’t been a post here in 2 months, so I’d say no. But as long as people are still subscribed, you can always start a discussion here and see how much response you get. Communities don’t need to be “active” as long as there are people who want to participate.
Doesn’t even have to have subscribers.
Lots of people browse by “all” and as small as Lemmy is, it doesn’t take many posts/comments to gain traction.
Like, I started out trying to subscribe to communities. But ended up just always browsing “all” and just blocking any meme/circlejerk subs I come across.
What game(s) do you want to talk about? Make a post!
To echo what another person said I came here from /all
I tend to post to [email protected] as I’m usually playing older games and this community is already established.
I was mostly asking to see if I should keep it in the sidebars of [email protected] and [email protected]
Not hugely, but fortunately there are a few other quite active communities for talking about games. I find myself in [email protected] quite often (though most of my posts are in [email protected]).
Looks like the mod has been silent for the last 2 months. It is probably up to us to keep the community alive.
I like this community because it is great for discussions instead of flooding gaming news.

Indeed, I generally go to [email protected], because I usually play older titles
I play older titles too, especially retro games (8-bit / 16-bit).
I like the community name of “let’s talk about games” more. It sounds more casual.
I used to be in Reddit’s patientgamers sub. It was toxic. People posted essays that could have been 2 sentences. One time I posted about games I disliked, I got downvoted and toxic responses.
There are communities around retro platforms too, like Amiga, ZX Spectrum, DOS and C64.
Happy to discuss any game i have played.
It’s as active as people want it to be.
The has been inactive for a couple of months, which stopped the weekly threads and that seems to have impacted activity. If anyone is interested in keep this going and Modding it, let us know.
