That’s not true and a bit harsh. AppImage supports repos with PGP signatures and differential upgrades, neither of which is supported by Flatpak/snap or any distro repo i know of. I especially love differential upgrades, as someone who regularly has bad connection.
That’s the main thing I don’t like about app images. It is just like windows where everything needs to be updated independently.
