The Bills received a 2025 second-round pick in exchange for Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick. The Texans acquired that pick from the Vikings when they traded their 2024 first-round pick to Minnesota last month.

Might be out of the loop. Why did the Bills take this deal? Are they trying to dump his salary or something?

This seems like such a bad deal.

He’s dropped off for sure. It’s for cap space in 2025. But if he was a team guy and not creating issues about targets, not being focus of offense, superbowl windows being closed, wanting out, blah blah blah I’m sure they’d have kept him. Beane and McD don’t tolerate distractions much. This guy was too much of a prima donna. With his drop in production, the distraction/reward balance in BeaneMcD’s mind was too much.

That and I’ve heard he clashed with someone higher up. I forget exactly who, might’ve just been a coordinator

Earlier I just heard it was a 2nd plus some other minor picks and I thought “oh that seems reasonable. This is a good WR draft class, so if you’re trying to save cap space at WR now is the time”.

But it’s NEXT YEAR’S second? Seems to me like the Texans got a steal. Also gotta love the irony that the pick came from Minnesota.
