    Take note:

    Here in Brazil we have a huge plan of action against dengue, with vastly penetration of public health within the country. Also this is a seasonal epidemic we have to deal every single year. We’re prepared to deal with dengue and we’re facing a huge problem this year.

    Once dengue reaches US and Europe, it’ll become a gigantic health problem in these countries. Be prepared.

      If covid has taught us anything it’s that no one will be prepared and roughly half the people will believe it’s not happening. At least in the US.

        And right-wing politicians will put all their effort into combating any efforts to combat the disease, cheered on by 30-40% of the population.

        I half expect some folks will put out little trays of water in their yard for the harmless mosquitos to breed in. “I got bit by a mosquito once and it was just a little itchy. Don’t be a baby.”
