After returning to her home planet Pandora, infamous outlaw Lilith is given a dangerous mission and forms an alliance (and potential friendship) with other criminals, including former mercenary Roland, demolitionist Tiny Tina and her protector Krieg, insane scientist Tannis, and the wisecracking robot Claptrap. The mission: find and protect the missing (and important) daughter of a powerful man named Atlas. But things may not be as they seem, as the girl holds the key to great power that can change the fate of the universe.
Cate Blanchett is way to old for that role, she’s almost twice the age of her character. Also not a big fan of that hair color, feels too bright.
Tiny Tina is almost unrecognizable and not… tiny.
I mean was Ashley not available?
Reprising the voice would be easy for her. If you’ve watched “Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’?” Knows that the character she plays there is basically Tiny Tina without the voice.
And then they could have gotten her brother to write this movie! You know the lead writer for that game and it’s DLC…
That would have brought in the borderlands 2 crowd for sure.
Absolute shit. Full stop.
This looks like someone had a half-finished script floating around, and tossed a coat of Borderlands paint over it after letting ChatGPT shit out a summary.
I held out some tiny sliver of hope that it would be so bad, it turned enjoyable, but that left me absolutely empty.
I was thinking to myself: could this be this generation’s Ishtar? Hudson Hawk?
So much on-screen talent, all for something so excruciating unfunny.
Wait one dang minute, what’s wrong with Hudson Hawk?
Anything with Kevin Hart in it is more likely going to be bad… I’m not saying he’s terrible in everything or a bad actor, it just seems that his movies aren’t terribly good?
It’s like a Nick Cage movie. Not everything is bad, but you’d be better off going into the movie expecting bad, and be pleasantly surprised when it isn’t.
Though this movie just seems bad, and not simply because of Kevin Hart.
Could be fun, in a Hobbs & Shaw kind of way
Hobbs and Shaw, eww.
I was surprised that this is not directed by Uwe Boll.
😐
Based on the description, how much you wanna bet Angel is “the daughter of Atlas”? Because fuck all the original lore and storyline I guess, apparently that was too hard to follow /s.
I know people are excited for Handsome Jack, but I don’t think he’s gonna show up at all; even as sequel bait. I think the studio absolutely fucked up the story so there’s nowhere to fit him in, or at least not in a satisfying way.
